  • A Case Competition is a company hosted event where they present a problem with groups of students. Students will then be given a set amount of time to work together on solutions to then present to the company.

Case Competitions are great for building experience in problem solving and team work, and are great additions to your resume. Some competitions will even offer a cash prize to the group that presents the best solution.
  • NetTreks are recruiting-oriented, networking trips led by sub-club leaders both locally and across the country. On these trips, students will meet on-site with professionals from multiple companies within select industries.

The goal of these trips is to

    1. Learn if the company and industry are the right fit for you
    2. Network with current professionals who will become valuable resources during recruiting

We highly recommend that you speak with the appropriate association leaders to find out when NetTreks will occur and what preparation is necessary.
  • Students attending Brigham Young University are obligated to follow established ethical practices when seeking employment and/or internships. One of these practices is the expectation that students will no longer seek or consider other positions once a job or internship offer has been accepted. This holds true even if a more appealing offer is received at a later date.

BYU students represent not only themselves, but the standards and character of Brigham Young University, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and all individuals associated with these organizations – past, present, and future. Consequently, reneging on accepted offers has negative repercussions that extend far beyond the student’s own reputation.

Therefore, students who renege on accepted offers of employment and/or internships will be barred from accessing Handshake and other services provided by BYU Career Services. In addition, students will be required (in conjunction with appropriate campus entities) to professionally address and rectify the situation.

  • There will be no more FRPS moving forward. Starting in Winter 2022, Fin 180 will be offered to pre-finance students to help them prepare for the program and recruitment.
